Good to know
With real turf, timing matters. Spring and autumn are the easiest times for it to root, and new turf needs regular watering for the first few weeks. Artificial grass can go down most of the year, but it needs a firm, well-drained base or it ends up lumpy and holds water. Either way, the preparation is where the money goes, and it's the part that decides how the lawn looks in a year's time.
